Friction Reduction

These alloyed finishes are non-directional/homogeneous and afford almost complete control over the coefficient of friction which can be lowered to .042. With this type of finish, particles causing wear have difficulty in establishing wear paths.

As an added benefit in these superfine finishes, thousands of microsized pores trap oil, teflon, molysulfide, and other desirable materials, enhancing lubricity. This cannot be wiped away by another contacting, sliding, detail.
